to anyone that tells us “It’s going to be ok”
heres what i want you to do…
shut the fuck up
its so not going to be ok. [at least not for a VERY long time]
last night they did a doppler test to try to determine what has been causing elizabeth to crash. and
what did they find?
a blood clot
in her clavical region
which is cutting off blood flow to her arm
shes getting blood to the arm
but its not coming back
which is causing her arm to sweel
the really bad news:
is that the blood clot was more than likely caused by the pic line they put in when she got admitted (it was one of the risks)
they are giving her antibiotics
because the pic line caused an infection which in turn may have caused the blood clot
aside from that shes stable
her condition hasnt really changed much
but the hits…
well
they just keep coming.
i almost forgot
they cant give her anything to try to disolve the clot
they cant thin her blood cuz it will create a million different problems that i dont have the heart to go into
they also cant give her anything for the swelling
cuz that will throw off her electrolytes and again create even more problems
[understatement] hello rock… meet hard place [/understatement]
amelia still doing fine on the nasal cpap
doing so well
i dont even want to talk about her
it makes elizabeths situation even harder to deal with
