The girls are having a much better day today.
Amelia is still being treated for pneumonia and is acting like she does not feel good indicated by her oxygen needs. However, she is way up on her feedings and they are taking away the extra nutrients she was getting since she is getting everything now from the milk with the help of a fortifier. Thus she is continuing to gain lots of weight.
Elizabeth is doing better today. She is way down on her oxygen needs and they are hoping to stop the nitrous oxide sometime tonight. She is retaining lots of fluid today and is puffy but that is to be expected after surgery we are told. Fingers crossed we continue to see this improving trend.
